Default Dirty words

after reading that post with "offensive names"
and seeing some guy being banned saying "shXt"

just wondering why we got banned saying those words.....sometimes words aint reference to anybody(lets say "F, i died"), would i still got banned by saying those if some1 report me as a "verbal abuse"???

i understand the game as 13+, or some 18- kids in the GW community. some "bad words" are considered harmful to their mind.

However, theres a chat filter in the option, if one doesnt like swearing words, just fking turn that on. I just dont get it.

PS.
maybe this post will get locked as well lol
online forums and games have even worse freedom of speech than communist country

Prepare yourself for a flame fest coming towards you with such posts as "this is a pointless thread", as well as "kids play this game"

On that note, I play with the char filter off, if you can't handle it, turn it on. Simple as that. +1 before this is locked.

Yeah, I personally don't care what people say in game. I have my filter turned off. If somebody doesn't like that kind of language they have the option to turn it on. Using the word "Shxt" is censor bypassing, thats why its an offense.

You left out "OMG! Another thread on this topic? Aren't there enough of them already?"

idc really

thats where my point is, why we get banned when theres a filter presents in the game.

I've never been banned for inappropriate manner or name, as i keep my mouth clean. just dont understand the controversy between chat filter and verbal abuse.

I'm the only Communist here.

Someone reports you enough, you get banned. That's really all there is to it. The filter doesn't catch abusive language. I can say all sorts off horrible things without the language filter catching anything.

God I love comments like that.

First off the internet has never claimed to offer freedom of speech. Finally, not agreeing with you isn't the same as opression.

aaaanyway

Turn on the chat filter!!

There is nothing worse then reading a bunch of vulgarity in chat. People of every age play and as an adult I don't want to see such garbage. If you try and bypass the filters than its a violation.

Speaking with such profanity and vulgarity just proves the low caliber and self esteem of the individual in question. If your vocabulary is so limited that you can't control or choose to use different language then I don't want you here either.

The same goes for TS/Vent. If I guest in with a group and some one is spouting off with that stuff, I say that if they keep it up I am leaving. I have done it many times, and will again for sure.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT

Seriously, amusing. Freedom of speech posts make most of us gag.

Mr. G, awesome that you saw the irony of that line just as I did.

Just don't type them? You can be very abusive if that's your game without using any filtered words. Insults and abuse are against the rules, though. Using the filtered words is also against the rules. Trying to bypass the word filter may be; I don't know. But if you do all three(Insult/abuse, swearing/filtered language, and attempting to bypass said filter), I can't comprehend why you'd feel unjustly punished or whatever.

edit: lol "freedom of speech and communism"

TBH I use the full words and rely on their filters, and so far they've been good showing -----

Spoken like a true Mrs. Lovejoy from The Simpsons "Think of the children! Won't somebody please think of the children!" Rage quitting over TS talk, now I've heard it all. Well, to each his own.

This type of topic has been brought up over 9000 times before. So when you say that there is no freedom on the forum? Its because WERE TIRED OF HEARING ABOUT IT.

What you people who think the filter should be the cats meow beall endall of vulgar language it is merely a filter not the rule, if you want the RULE of the vulgar language than I suggest you READ THE RULES of CONDUCT. Violate the rules of conduct and you get punished regardless of the filter. The filter is there in place for those who WISH to use it they don't HAVE to use it nor should be FORCED to use it. So, don't abuse the language and you have nothing to worry about. You can just as easily say the word to yourself and type something else, don't tell me someone is standing there with a gun to your head forcing you to type out vulgar words. You choose to do it therefore you shall reap the punishment especially if I'm in the zone.

You realize that people from all kinds of countries with all kinds of freedom of speech are here.

Some might even think it's paradise here (being the internet and forums).
